Things yet to come...

So I got a new camera today...

FOR 5 BUCKS!

I mean I don't care if it's a piece of crap Polaroid that is older than I am, it was $5. Plus the guy made sure it worked for me, so that was cool. I just need to buy some film and I'm set. This thing is going to be fun to take to NY. I will be an artistE with the 'e'. Here's a peek...



...It's going to be fun to use, I just hope it lasts a while.

This blog is all over the place, I just am going through my day and thinking of all the cool shit I saw and I am throwing it on here. I know I put up something just a few days ago about wanting to know how to ride a fixed gear bike and I talked to this cool guy down in Newport about it and told me to go to this place online called bikesdirect and there is this siiiick bike I am seriously considering. Check it out.....

And it's only for $300!! Retail is like $785! Hmmmmm....
My life is normally boring, but today Jason and I went to the Lab and then to 2nd Spin (a music store) and then to the used camera store (where we were told they had cool bikes, but I ended up buying a camera anyways!)

Among other things I looked at today, I saw these shoes on honeyee and I must say the ideas behind the design are pretty sick. It's supposed to be a New England theme and modeled after lobsters, all the way down to the rubberbands on the front of the shoes. I don't know that I like the idea of lobsters on my feet but the detail is sick.

This title just kinda means I'm into books. Plus, who doesn't like the Beastie Boys!! This book looks like a wealth of knowledge about our favorite, Adam "Ad-Rock" Horowitz.



Shopping in christmas time is insane as everyone knows, but to make yourself feel a little better, try thinking about how many more times your parents have had to do it. That makes me feel better. Until I think about when I am older and have to buy lots of presents. Eff.

SHOES!!

I am going to post a lot about shoes on this blog, and the might be old, they might be new, or they might have come out last month and I just am not keeping up with the game, but here are some awesome shoes I saw today on various websites and what not...

These are part of the new Nike Tech pack and they just caught my eye for some reason...Don't know if I will pick them up but definitely clean...

These next pics are of a gallery-type project by the artist Madsaki I don't know what he is trying to do but I think it has something to do with space. But the use of the space is pretty sick and when looking at it I really cannot tell that there is actually a rice factory in the background.




I need to figure out holiday gifts for everyone and I realized that shoes is such a cop-out gift from me. It's like getting cookies from Mrs Field or Pancakes from Mrs Butterworth.

This new site is siiiick!

It's going to make waves I know it. My old roommate Michelle and I were talking about making an actual warehouse type gallery like this but the wonders of the internet beat us to it. Some samples of the product...



This one is a little weird to me, but I can appreciate it as art still...
Pretty cool I think. I am also following up on this site called honeyee which is pretty sick also but most of it I can't read because it's in Japanese. All good though, go check out blogs from big cats like John Mayer, Jeff Ng (aka jeffstaple), the immortal KAWS, and even Eric Clapton! Pretty wild how people from all walks of life get mixed up thanks to the world wide what-the-fuck-is-that web.

Man, so many good things in the world and only so much time to try all of them! It's like Sophie's Choice!

A couple new obsessions...

So I've been looking at a few things online like a lot and I don't know whether I just want to be able to do these things like all the time or if I want to just hang out with the people who do them and take pictures like these. We shall see. But the first thing Im interested in, and I think it's apparent why, is this new book....




I think it's the fact that it has 500+ t-shirt designs in it! And for people like myself who don't have the artistic talent or the time to set aside purely for coming up with anything original, it's a good way to cop out.

This is also a total cop out...



I don't think I really want to do that a whole lot but it's really popular in NY and I want to be associated with it as a result. Sure it looks like emo kids on bikes....well it IS emo kids on bikes, but it's more than that. It's emo kids on bikes doing SLIDES, and no handed riding and other useless tricks. But man it's cool!

Speaking of NY, I'm looking forward to going. I want to visit all kinds of cool places
